Interstellar Adventures

If you've fond memories of having played through Puffin's' Fighting Fantasy books or the Tunnels & Trolls solo adventure books that preceded them, or if you've rather more recently played Back Stories (La Boite de Jeu/Lucky Duck) or Lost in Adventure (DV Games), you'll have a good idea of what to expect from Minty Noodles' Interstellar Adventures. This is a choose-your-own-adventure-style game designed by Harriet Cody and Cole Jefferies where players reveal cards, solve puzzles, look for clues and make choices over which course to follow. You may even find yourself confronted with a dexterity challenge...

Shown here on Board's Eye View is a preview prototype that just offers the first of the three episodes that will be in the published version of the game. We've nevertheless done our best to avoid spoilers in our 360 by showing only the opening sequence of cards that you'll reveal at the start of the game. That tho' gives a good taster of the artwork from Santaplix which faithfully emulates a movie storyboard or the successive panels of a comic book or graphic novel. Even the box folds out to be called into service as a missile command playing board.

The box suggests the game is for 2-4 players. Interstellar Adventures is a fully cooperative game, so playing it with others means you're able to bounce ideas about to solve puzzles. Equally tho' it's very playable as a solo/solitaire game. However you play, you're sure to enjoy your adventures with Captain Silna and her crew. And if your Interstellar Adventures put you in mind of familiar space opera tropes then so much so good; after all Minty Noodles have subtitled this game The Sincerest Form of Flattery.

Interstellar Adventures are launching on Kickstarter in October. Click here for more details.
