What Do You Meme?

In the digital age, anyone can be a comedian. Just add a witty sentence to a suitably funny picture and go viral. And now it’s even easier with What Do You Meme?

Like student favourite, Cards Against Humanity, What Do You Meme? is a card game that accommodates pretty much any number of players. You take turns choosing your favourite picture from an extensive line up of familiar and zany shots and the other players choose the best accompanying phrase from their hand of seven. The active player chooses their favourite and the winner gets to keep the picture card for scoring. The play continues until someone has accrued five cards and is deemed the funniest.

Designed by Elie Ballas, Ben Kaplan and Elliot Tebele, the game has the charm of a good casual party game so it's a great pre-drinks staple. Combinations are limitless, with a large number of recognisable memes and responses. Gameplay is simple and accessible for all ages, tho' the 'adult edition' carries a NSFW (Not Safe For Work) warning. For those of you who have a younger audience, there's a family friendly version (shown here in our Board's Eye View) which will still keep adults amused, so nobody has to be left out of the party. The cards themselves are good quality and the pictures are high resolution; and the rules invite players to print out their own photos to add to the mix and personalise the game.
