Crumbs!

In Crumbs!, from Minerva Tabletop Games, you're running a sandwich shop and you're selecting and stacking the fillings needed to fulfil customers' orders. Designed by J Antscherl, it's primarily a solitaire game where you're trying to better your score for fulfilling order cards but Crumbs! is also playable as a cooperative game for two players.

The card deck comprises avocado, cheese, egg, ham, salad and salmon fillings plus slices of white, brown and sesame bread. The fillings also double as order cards, with different customers and orders on their reverses; the bread slices have a toasted side on their reverse. Some of the orders are for toasted sandwiches, so for these the top layer has to be bread that's toasted side up.

As you might expect, play involves taking actions to draft bread and fillings to your prep area and assembling sandwiches to satisfy customer orders. Quirky customers add to the complications. For example, those with dietary requirements show a filling that cannot be used in any other customer's sandwich until their order has been completed, and fussy customers insist on fillings being assembled precisely in the order shown on their card.

Crumbs! is a tasty snack of a game. It's subtitled 'The Sandwich Filler Game' and, fittingly, it's a filler-length card game that plays in around 15-20 minutes.
